El Reglamento del patrimonio de los entes locales de Cataluña (RPEL), aprobado por Decreto 336/1988, de 17 de octubre, es la norma principal del inventario municipal en Cataluña y desarrolla el Texto refundido de la Ley municipal y de régimen local de Cataluña (Decreto Legislativo 2/2003). Regula el inventario general consolidado, su rectificación anual y su aprobación por el Pleno. El RBEL estatal solo se aplica de forma supletoria.
